Wishing all of you involved with The Resistance, or for even those still ignorant reading this post scoffing who will soon be a member its not too late we accept you, a lovely and merry 2012

Right now the movements against the power elite are losing force, dying out into miniscule fractions, but a worldwide echo of resistance still permeates .

“An echo that turns itself into many voices, into a network of voices that, before Power’s deafness, opts to speak to itself, knowing itself to be one and many. Let it be a network of voices that resist the war that the Power wages on them. A network of voices that not only speak, but also struggle and resist for humanity and against neoliberalism .” – Subcommandante Marcos

La Realidad (reality) The Intercontinental Network of Resistance Manifesto

Second Declaration of La Realidad (Reality) for Humanity Against Neoliberalism
February 1997

Brothers and sisters of Africa, Asia, America, Europe, and Oceania:

Considering that we are:
Against the international order of death, against the globalization of war and armaments. Against dictatorships, against authoritarianism, against repression. Against the politics of economic liberalization, against hunger, against poverty, against robbery, against corruption. Against patriarchy, against xenophobia, against discrimination, against racism, against crime, against the destruction of the environment, against militarism. Against stupidity, against lies, against ignorance. Against slavery, against intolerance, against injustice, against marginalization, against forgetfulness. Against neoliberalism.

Considering that we are:
For the international order of hope, for a new, just, and dignified peace. For a new politics, for democracy, for political liberties. For justice, for life, and dignified work. For civil society, for full rights for women in every aspect, for the respect of elders, youth, and children, for the defense and protection of the environment. For intelligence, for culture, for education, for truth. For liberty, for tolerance, for inclusion, for having memory. For humanity.

We declare:
First. That we will make a collective network of all our particular struggles and resistances. An intercontinental network of resistance against neoliberalism, an intercontinental network of resistance for humanity. This intercontinental network of resistance, recognizing differences and acknowledging similarities, will search to find itself with other resistances around the world. This intercontinental network of resistance will be the medium in which distinct resistances may support one another. This intercontinental network of resistance is not an organizing structure; it doesn’t have a central head or decision maker; it has no central command or hierarchies. We are the network, all of us who resist.

Second. That we will make a network of communication among all our struggles and resistances. An intercontinental network of alternative communication against neoliberalism, an intercontinental network of alternative communication for humanity. This intercontinental network of alternative communication will be the medium by which distinct resistances communicate with one another. This intercontinental network of alternative communication is not an organizing structure, nor has a central head or decision maker, nor does it have a central command or hierarchies. We are the network, all of us who speak and listen.

This we declare:
To speak and to listen for humanity and against neoliberalism. To resist and struggle for humanity and against neoliberalism. For the whole world: Democracy! Liberty! Justice! From whatever reality of whichever continent.

Prax Guerrero on the Method of Revolution

After working tirelessly during 1906-1909 to stage a mexican revolution, Guerrero explains his methods through a circulated pamphlet

“When we resolved to fling ourselves into the fight it is because we have ideas very well placed in our heads.  The man who thinks and feels the ideas, does not fear sacrifices: he goes to them willing to give his life.  You must have seen that I am uncompromising, that many times I argue details; that I appear obstinate and meticulous, and that  I am not in conformity with the disciplined organization of the rebelious groups.  I believe that a popular revolution should be spontaneous, without leaders.  If I address you in this manner, it is because I believe that you truly love liberty… I am an anarchist; I don’t fight because I hate government, but for the love of a free humanity… Our revolution must show the manner of liberating not governing”
taken from “La vida heroica”

Flores Magon to his young follower Praxedis G. Guerrero

Praxedis G. Guerrero was a young liberal revolutionary famous for the phrase “Mas vale morir de pie que vivir de rodillas”(It is better to die on your feet than to live on your knees)  who lived during the Mexican Revolution.  Unlike the Zapata/Pancho Villa section of the revolution, he did a lot of his early work through press releases and political media rather than violence.  Their failed revolution of 1906 was due to a few things, one being the attempt to foster a revolution view a newspaper or a source of media, and second, due to the united states postal service both governments were already well informed of all the Junta’s commands.  A manifesto of 1911 might be worth reading heavily infleunced by kropotkin.  From canada Flores is writing young guerrero (22 at the time) some advice on running the paper

“We will need all the help you’ll lend us in the editing of the newspaper.  For our part, we will see if we can write something.  I write with great difficulty.  The posture in which I can do it is excessively uncomfortable and i had promised not to write for newspapers, but there is a need of writing and I will write, even if it is not much.  you will bear most of the load, but if something we get out on bail we will alleviate your hard work.
The newspaper is indispensable not only for our defense and to obtain resources for our defense by means of it, but to encourage those who are growing cold since they know nothing of the fight.  Many believe that we are free and upon not seeing any manifestation of the struggle, they think that everything is finished.  Others know that we are prisoners, but as they also notice that there is no struggle, because the secret works cannot be divulged, they must think that everything has been postponed and that there is no one outside of jail who continues in the work.  In both cases there is the same result: discouragementThe newspaper is needed…they make every effort to leave the cause without a press

Google is a fancy privatized post office,  I don’t think we can expect them to remain completely neutral in the war either.
