A recent report by ABC has confirmed what many have claimed for years; infrastructure jobs are going directly to foreign countries, particularly China.

Regardless of the fact that US law usually requires American companies to be picked first for infrastructure jobs, multiple Chinease companies are currently working on U.S. bridges and roads throughout the country.

In California, officials actually claimed that American companies simply could not do the work as fast or as cheap yet multiple U.S. firms have stated that they would have gladly provided the workers.

The Invisible Opportunity: Hidden Truths Revealed

The technetronic era involves the gradual appearance of a more controlled society. Such a society would be dominated by an elite, unrestrained by traditional values. Soon it will be possible to assert almost continuous surveillance over every citizen and maintain up-to-date complete files containing even the most personal information about the citizen. These files will be subject to instantaneous retrieval by the authorities.’

Sellers embarks on music world, heads to Texas State’s MR Fest

By Catherine Harper

Texas State University grad Roger Sellers says he’s living the dream. With constant tours around the country as a professional musician, Sellers is doing what he loves for a living: traveling and making music.

“There are few people in the world that get to do what they love while traveling,” Sellers says. “Travel is the number one best part of being a musician for me. It’s so fulfilling and changes your entire perspective on life.”

Having graduated from Texas State in May 2011 with a bachelor of general studies degree focusing on music, business and media studies, Sellers has risen to the top all on his own. As the writer, performer, director, producer and engineer of his music — which meshes genres of folk, Americana, electronic and dance — he has expanded his influence from his original scene in…

Abandoned my roots, well atleast on the internet

I feel ashamed that I’ve ended up abandoning all of my ron paul anti-globalization roots… Although, truth be told Google +, the only way to “win over the hearts of the masses” and tell people they are in plato’s cave, is to get really good at playing the game. Even if you know its a lie. A day doesnt go by without heartache. All the terrible things that I’m constantly reading about (but not plussing), all of the ways Satan and his sons are taking over the world, and sin. Sin is striking terror into the hearts of many families… Who knows how much autism and cancer and alzheimers will get worse while clean water starts to trickle and we adapt IMF credits, who knows the horrible effect google, augmented reality, corning glass, and other things philip k dick and CG Jung predicted will have on our souls…

I almost want to tread where I’m not allowed to anymore. Thats all folks– enough emotional downcast Steven Wright in a Public Space.

Global Governance 2025

http://www.acus.org/new_atlanticist/muddling-through-2025

Global Governance 2025, a joint effort of the Atlantic Council and its global partners, offers a wide range of trajectories for the international system depending on whether we adequately address known threats.    The report suggests three possible scenario’s.

Scenario I:  Barely Keeping Afloat

Scenario II: Fragmentation

Scenario III: Concert of Europe Redux
Under this scenario, severe threats to the international system—possibly a looming environmental disaster or a conflict that risks spreading—prompt greater cooperation on solving global problems. Significant reform of the international system becomes possible. Although less likely than the first two scenarios in the immediate future, such a scenario might prove the best outcome over the longer term, building a resilient international system that would step up the level of overall cooperation on an array of problems. The US increasingly shares power while China and India increase their burden sharing and the EU takes on a bigger…

Some white people have trouble reading American rape statistics.

White commenters will say stuff like this:

Fact – blacks rape white women 2000 (yes 2000) times more than whites rape black women.

or this:

In the United States in 2005, 37,460 white females were sexually assaulted or raped by a black man, while between zero and ten black females were sexually assaulted or raped by a white man.

They back this up with the infamous Table 40 or 42 of the US Department of Justice’s yearly “Criminal Victimization in the United States, Statistical Tables”.

Here are the latest numbers for black-and-white rapes from Table 42:

Table 42. Personal crimes of violence, 2008:

Percent distribution of single-offender victimizations, by type of crime, race of victim, and perceived race of offender

Rape/sexual assault (a), Race of victim:

  • White only 117,640: perceived race of offender: 74.9% white, 16.4%* black
  • Black only 46,580: perceived race…
